Sorry for the lack of posts last week. There were guest teachers in the class last week. Hopefully your child's agenda was used. We had another fun day skating last week on Thursday. The next skating day is not until Thursday, March 15th. The students continued to work on their "Dot" composition, inquire about the Fur Trade in Canada, practice verb use, book clubs, and continue pattern finding and algebra. Congrats to everyone on their roles in The Aristrocats! Great painting today. Van Gogh style.. Genius Hour- week 2 The students should be putting their plan into action this week (making prototypes, trying to practice making video, Putting research towards their powerpoint etc....every child has a different project, but they should be putting research into practice this week) A great day to skate! Our next field trip is on the 17th, We still need volunteers to drive and chaperone the students for the museum. The next skating day is Jan 25th.
Today we learned about 0, exponents, and finding patterns as well as about the digestive system. Thank you to "Coach Harper" and "Coach Toren" for leading the basketball drills. Spelling quiz tomorrow morning. Skating Tomorrow. Thank you Day, Kathy, Kelly, Nick, and Leanne for driving (as well as the 4 parents bringing their own child). Please bring a helmet if you have one. Hockey gear can also be used on half the gym if you would like to bring it. Field Trip to Museum next Wednesday all day - Forms going home today!!!
